Reliable, Remote-Ready Monitoring for Generac Gensets

Monico Monitoring delivers turnkey solutions for Generac® generator monitoring, providing real-time visibility into critical backup power systems—both onsite and remotely. Whether your facility uses a single generator or multiple paralleled gensets, our systems allow seamless data access, flexible integration, and fast deployment.

From data centers and hospitals to telecom towers and mission-critical infrastructure, Generac users rely on Monico to ensure their backup power is ready when it matters most. Our pre-configured Gateways communicate directly with Generac control panels and make it easy to integrate with BMS, DCIM, or SCADA platforms using industrial protocols like Modbus RTU, SNMP, and FTP.

  • Monitor multiple Generac gensets with a single Gateway
  • Compatible with H100, G-Panel, PM-DCP, and PM-SC panels
  • Supports Modbus RTU communication
  • Built-in virtual HMI accessible via any web browser
  • Pre-loaded alarm descriptions and diagnostic codes
  • Optional control functions such as remote Start/Stop

Monitoring Support for Generac Control Panels

H100 Control Panel

Ideal for telecom and remote site applications, our Gateways connect directly to H100-equipped gensets, delivering live status, alarm codes, and remote control functions. Many customers use SNMP and the built-in virtual HMI to remotely monitor generator health, schedule weekly exercises, and avoid costly dispatches.

G-Panel and PM-SC Paralleling

For advanced paralleling systems using G-Panel controllers and the PM-SC (PowerManager™ System Controller), one Monico Gateway can monitor multiple generators and the central PM-SC panel. Data can be accessed via SNMP or visualized remotely through the Gateway’s integrated HMI.

PM-DCP Panel

Our Gateway can be configured for paralleled gensets, bi-fuel engines, and stand-alone transfer switches. Data is collected, standardized, and made available across multiple protocols—ideal for complex BMS or SCADA integration.

Built for Integration & Remote Access

Monico’s Gateways don’t just collect data—they help you use it. Whether you need basic generator status or full infrastructure visibility, our solutions offer:

  • Virtual HMI Web Server – Access generator data via any Chrome® browser by IP address
  • Data Logging – Real-time logging with FTP and Sync Server capabilities
  • Alerting – Built-in SMTP and SMS servers for alarm notifications
  • Protocol Conversion – Output to Modbus RTU, SNMP, BACnet, and more
  • Custom Dashboards – Use our free MonicoView II™ software to create or edit custom HMI pages

All Gateways are DIN-rail mounted, powered by 24 VDC, and ready for installation by any qualified technician with basic computer skills.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Generac panels are compatible with Monico’s monitoring system?

Our Gateways are compatible with H100, G-Panel, PM-DCP, and PM-SC control panels. We support both stand-alone and paralleled configurations.

Does the system support SNMP and remote access?

Absolutely. We support SNMP, and our Gateways feature a virtual HMI web server that allows access via any browser, including Chrome®. Remote control functions like Start/Stop can also be enabled.

Can I monitor multiple generators with one Gateway?

Yes. One Gateway can monitor multiple gensets, especially in paralleling scenarios using G-Panel or PM-SC controllers.

How do I configure the Gateway?

Gateways come pre-configured for your application. For field adjustments or custom HMI page creation, use our included MonicoView II™ software—no coding required.

What types of data can I collect from a Generac genset?

Typical monitored data includes generator status, alarms, engine RPM, voltage, frequency, fuel levels, exercise timers, and more. We also provide full-text descriptions of alarms and diagnostic codes.
