Monico Mobile Messenger™ (m3™) Receives Agency Approval

Great strides are being made at Monico! We are excited to announce that our long-awaited Monico Mobile Messenger™ (m3™) has finished its final stages of testing and agency approval. This device is an industrial protocol translator that was designed for high-volume applications with consistent data parameter translation between CDL (CAT® Data Link), J1939, and/or Modbus RTU.

m3 has been tested and approved as conforming to UL STD 61010-1, IEC 60101-1 and certified to CSA STD C22.2 61010-1, as well as ingress protection (IP) rated for IP66 and IP67. IP66/67 approvals are granted to devices considered “waterproof” and “dust-tight”. Referenced 61010 standards are general safety requirements for electrical equipment regarding measurement, control, and laboratory use. The 61010 standard approvals are required for devices looking to be set in “General Purpose” locations.

The IP66 and IP67 ratings make m3 an ideal solution for mobile equipment. The device’s design is capable of withstanding the rugged conditions on mobile equipment and is rated to endure a variety of environmental surroundings. m3 is vibration-resistant and can tolerate a wide range of temperatures, all while maintaining visible light for communication and power confirmation.
