Monico, Inc. Launches New Website.

SPRING, TX, April 13, 2015 - Monico Inc. launches new website with enhanced navigation and expanded product and support information. 

Following a record anniversary year in 2014, Monico launches a new website as it moves into its second decade as a leader in industrial communications. 

“When the Taylors purchased Monico in 2004, it was a strongly product-driven business and the website reflected that. But over the years, Monico has developed tremendous capabilities to serve and support multiple sectors across the industrial marketplace in a variety of ways. We wanted to better exhibit those capabilities,” states VP and General Manager Allen Walker. 

Monico’s website,, now uses navigation designed to quickly guide a user to the industry, equipment or protocol they are working with, give information on the appropriate product, and promptly put them in touch with the staff through a targeted quote request tool. If a user needs product support, the site guides them to information on the product they need assistance with or allows them to easily contact the support staff. 

Still to come on the site is a live chat option and knowledge base section for customers to research more about products and services as well as tap into Monico’s general knowledge on equipment used across the industrial marketplace.

“Monico now offers far more than a powerful monitoring product line,” says Walker, “We are also widely recognized for using our knowledge and expertise to fuel innovation in the monitoring industry, and we are helping our customers harness the power of data analytics through what we call Real Time Actionable Intelligence™.  It was time for our website, a major mode of communication for us, to showcase that.”

Monico Hires Outside Salesperson

Monico, Inc. Hires Outside Sales Representative

Spring, Texas, April 2, 2015 – Monico is pleased to announce the hiring of an additional Outside Sales Representative to its staff.  Kevin Christian of Princeton, West Virginia will represent Monico in the oil and gas market.

“As Monico introduces data analytics, Real Time Actionable Intelligence™ and the release of our mGuard™ product line, we are seeing an increase in the number of companies searching for new ways to save time and money.  Our need to get in front of our end users is now more important than ever.  Because of this, it has become clear that we need additional manpower, and Kevin has the experience and relationships to help us achieve this goal,” says Allen Walker, Monico General Manager.

Christian has more than 25 years of experience with both design and sales in the natural gas upstream and midstream markets. The bulk of his career has been spent in the Gulf Coast and Eastern U.S., with the past 10 years concentrated on the shale plays in the Appalachian region.  GM Walker states “Kevin has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas market, and he is a welcomed addition to the Monico team.”

Monico, Inc. Hires Electrical Engineer for Technical Sales Position

Spring, Texas, December 16, 2014 – Monico is pleased to announce the addition of Amy Thompson to its staff as a Technical Sales Engineer. Thompson is an Electrical Engineer possessing both domestic and international experience with sales and marketing.

“Amy is going to be a very dynamic addition to our staff,” says Monico VP Allen Walker, “She has seven years experience in the industrial equipment market handling both sales and marketing and a degree in electrical engineering. She’s well traveled and well versed in multi-cultural negotiations and sales and has well developed customer service skills; Amy is exactly what we’ve been looking for.”

Thompson will be handling all sales efforts in the Electrical Power Generation (EPG) market where Monico has a wide range of genset monitoring and communication solutions for applications such as mission critical applications, data centers and both prime and standby power. 

Before working at Monico, Thompson was employed by Caterpillar® as a Technical Marketing Representative, Technical Sales Engineer and most recently a Senior Marketing Consultant. She handled a wide range of marketing and sales responsibilities in these positions including supplier, dealer and customer relations, project coordination, consultative sales and the development of marketing materials. 

“Amy came to us fully prepared to take on the role of a technical sales representative with ownership of a specific market segment,” says Walker, “And we have every confidence in her ability to deliver.”

Thompson will work out of Monico’s home office in Spring, Texas, which houses ten employees and supports three more who work in Colorado and Illinois. She also steps in at the end of the company’s 10th Anniversary year, which will close with record revenue growth. Monico’s growth and success are expected to continue, furthering the company’s vision of becoming the global leader and preferred provider of industrial data acquisition, protocol conversion, data analysis, and custom monitoring solutions.
