The Monico CCM Translator was discontinued for all new applications in 2008.
Caterpillar® discontinued the CCM Module on its engines and generators in 2007, so Monico developed the CDL Gateway to replace both the CAT CCM Module and the Monico CCM Translator. In addition, the software and hardware for the CCM Translator are rapidly approaching end of life. The Monico CDL Gateway™ is a far superior product in both ease of use and productivity while maintaining our "pre-configured solution" philosophy. We offer CDL Gateway versions that are specifically programmed to be drop-in replacements for CCM Translators, so please call our sales or support staff to discuss your needs and help you choose the best product for your applications.
CCM Translator - Serial Application
The Monico CCM Translator is a Protocol Converter that gathers data from the engine ECM and the Pyrometer module or Auxiliary Inputs and provides this data in Modbus format for access by PLCs, Building Automation Systems or Man-Machine Interfaces.
Each Translator can handle up to two independent engines of any type. The Monico CCM Translator is a plug and play product which automatically scans the engine controller for available parameters on power-up. If a Pyrometer is connected, that information will also become immediately available. A Modbus Data Map is downloadable which identifies the Modbus parameters for each engine type.
The Monico CCM Translator uses reliable, industrial Opto 22 hardware and, as such, can be expanded to gather from a variety of auxiliary input sensors that measure pressure, temperature, etc.
The Monico CCM Translator is a standard product for many dealers and building automation companies such as Siemens Building systems, as show in the Monico Customer List.
